Arizona Authors Summertime Storytelling & Craft Saturdays

Pueblo Grande Museum

A hands-on activity for the whole family to enjoy, the Pueblo Grande Museum is hosting children’s storytelling and crafts every Saturday in June.

The author will be reading their own work and will be followed by a related craft and light snack. Ideal for children kindergarten through grade 4.

You have the option to register online or check-in at the front desk to participate.

Artlink’s First Fridays Art Walk

The first Friday of every month is the time to catch a free art walk in downtown Phoenix. From 6pm-10pm you can enjoy a self-guided tour through over 70 galleries, venues and art-related spaces. The variety is spectacular and the culture of the city comes to life. You are invited to hop on and off free shuttles that circulate on three routes through downtown Phoenix’s arts districts. Catch a shuttle at any of the stops along the routes including Phoenix Art Museum, CityScape, Oasis on Grand and Unexpected Gallery.

Snacky Snacks: Games and Snack Fest

If snacks and games are your kind of afternoon delight, then you are in for a treat. This festival brings both snacks and games together for the enjoyment and entertainment of all to enjoy.

The snacks won’t be boring! Get ready to enjoy a variety of snacks from different cuisines such as samosas, takoyaki, and gelato from over eight local businesses. The games are no joke either. They will have traditional games such as giant Jenga and tabletop board games. To top it off, they will be hosting a Super Smash Bros Ultimate video game tournament!

The game and snack fest will be held indoors in the Fellowship Center at North Phoenix Baptist Church. Bring the family and enjoy a retreat from the heat.

It’s no surprise that the Grand Canyon offers one of the best places in Arizona (and even in the whole United States) to gaze at the stars at night. During the Grand Canyon Star Party, you can expect amateur astronomers from across the country volunteer their expertise and offer free nightly astronomy programs with telescope viewing. You can have a turn looking through a telescope, learn all about Jupiter and Saturn, and experience the night sky unlike anywhere else in the world.
